Do you carry out exit interviews if one of your staff members leaves the company? At a recruitment seminar I attended recently, only 25% of the business owners in the room used an exit interview for all staff leavers, but most surprising to me, most of them didn’t even know what one was! So, the question is, why should you carry out an exit interview when someone leaves?
It can be very disheartening when you have recruited, trained and developed a person, for them to leave the company, and many people take this personally. However, you must remember that an exit interview is not your chance to change someone’s mind about leaving!
